My world changes with the seasons

The Alberta prairie was unusually green this year,
due to unseasonably heavy rainfall.

As autumn approached the prairie, the greens faded
while yellows and beiges became more predominant.
Ever patient, Lindy waits while I take a photograph of the sky,
then lets me take one of her, too.
In our yard, some trees were bare and ghostly
even before other trees turned yellow.

Photos by Richard Schear and Kay Davies.

I have so much to learn. For some reason (don't asky me why) I thought prairies would be flat as a pancake! Great to see they aren't!

I love those gently rolling hills. I bet Lindy does as well!

Wonderful shots, it seems to be a very uneven fall as far as the trees go. Your Lindy reminds me of my Goldie Girl.

Autumn is always a very colourful season. Thanks again for your second visit Yes Abel Tasman had been around, but Captain Cook a hundred years later, was better, for he treated the Maoris with respect, which the Dutch crew of Abel Tasman didn't. Tasmania is named after him and in Australia there is a region called Arnhemland which is named after the Dutch city of Arnhem.
