O is for OH! You scared me!

One of Dick's daughters managed to frighten us once when she mixed Hallowe'en animals with her Christmas decorations. We jumped, and said, "OH!" and the little grandsons laughed to think they were braver than Old grownups!
See the big O on the back of the second spider?

What is that? A fat wererat? Speaking of mixing Christmas and Halloween, I was at the Rite-Aid pharmacy yesterday. There were two aisles of Christmas stuff next to two aisles of Halloween things. I didn't see any fall/Thanksgiving stuff anywhere. Every year it gets earlier for Christmas shopping. - Margy

LOL! Grandchildren love doing this, don't they?

Your red-eyed critter is more scary than my sad dog! Lindy looks to be a lot more friendly (and happier)! There are several more dog statues in downtown Frederick - I'll make a point to get some photos of them in the future.

She sounds like she has a wicked good sense of humor.
I love the Christmas bow around the scary dog's (?) neck - a delightful touch!

O my goodness, Kay, the first animal is scarier than the spider to me! My little grandson can make an "O" with his mouth and looks so cute, at nine months he's the sweetest little boy, full of jokey expressions like his dad! Bless you my friend, Jo

I organised a Hallowe'en party aeons ago and had put a fake plastic spider in the toilet bowl. I had completely forgotten about it when I needed to use the toilet. I screamed! Perhaps it would have been better had I used Christmas decorations as well...

Well, I'll say I had a little fright when that first photo appeared. Ouch! One of the meanest things I've ever done is when I was about 12, my aunt was staying over to babysit us - I am the eldest of five - while our parents were out on a trip. She and I were sharing the big king bed of theirs. I knew she was jumpy and I put a ping pong ball under the blankets. I thought she was going to kill me, after she realized what had nearly given her a fatal heart attack!

I have one of those spiders too! And I love the Christmas rat. Thanks for sharing.

OMG-such scary images! It does make you jump a little when you first see that rat! LOL!

Dick took these pictures, but I have them on my computer, and it never occurred to me I'd ever have any use for them!

@Francisca -- if that's the meanest thing you've ever done, you are a perfect angel. I would never have thought a ping pong ball could be scary, but you never know when people are very nervous. Your aunt was a bit of an angel, too, looking after five children aged 12 and under!!

Terrific ! I also would have jumped !

Scary for the unwary. Which was better putting them up or scaring the adults:-)
