Sky watching, around the world

This monkey obligingly presents his silhouette against the Costa Rican sky.

A patch of sky, seen through the hole in the rock (roche percé) off the town of Percé, Quebec, on Canada's Gaspé Peninsula, throws light and shadows on the water.
Mountain mist mixes with air pollution to create an interesting sky above a Chinese town during our Three Gorges cruise.

From the beach in front of the Malecon, looking across the Sea of Cortez toward the shrine and lighthouse, San Felipe, Baja California Norte, Mexico.

Very beautiful. How fortunate you are able to visit such interesting places and share a little of your memories with us. Thank you.

@ Ann -- I would be sharing more if I hadn't run right smack into a bad case of Writer's Block this spring after I got Chapter 18 of my book into my blog. I am hoping I can generate some creative juices by posting to beautiful photo memes such as Skywatch, and maybe I'll be able to start writing again.

These are all great shots. I love the sky through the monkey and also the second one with the sky through the rock opening. All are good but those are my favorites.

Great photos, Kay!

Thanks soooo much for stopping by my site and leaving your lovely comment. AHA... a fellow Albertan.......

I saw in your bio that you enjoy any movie where the dog doesn't die.... have to agree totally on that......... I can't animal stories usually. And, as a young girl, I was horrified at Black Beauty's last days. It wrung my heart for weeks after.... have never read it since.

I'd love to stay in touch.........it would appear we share a love of furry friends. Me, I have one Miss Kitty at present! She's a joy in my world!

Here's wishing you glimpses of heaven in unexpected places. Happy Friday!

What an amazing arch! You sure do get around the world. When I was in my 20s, I went to San Felipe several times. My husband's (first one that is) father had a trailer there we could borrow. That was fun, but now I'm a bit nervous about going to Mexico. - Margy

@ Margy
I would never be nervous about San Felipe. I don't think I'd want to drive in Mexicali any more, but that's because traffic makes me nervous now, not because of any desperado dangers.
My parents started going to San Felipe in the early 70s, and were still going down in the 90s, but none of us remember when they stopped.
