Shadow-shot Sunday is Halloween this year

On farms and in cities, some of the little ones who call me Auntie Kay, and some who call me Nana Kay, in Hallowe'en costumes of former years. I won't see this year's costumes until we get pictures in Monday's e-mail. Dick and I, with our dog Lindy, will answer when youngsters from our neighborhood knock at our door Sunday evening. Lindy will be happy to see everyone, and I know she won't bark!

Special thanks to Tracy at "Hey Harriet!" for choosing one of our Toledo, Spain, shadow shots for her collage of last week's photos. We feel quite smug --Kay and Richard

Such cute costumes!

We don't celebrate Hallowe'en and there is no trick or treating. In eleven days time however we celebrate St Martin and children will come to the door with lovely home made lights and lanterns and sing a song to get some sweets. Although the last time I had any visitors was about six years ago!

Fun blog, like your verse.I had tricksters last night, but sent my candy to a neighbors so she could have some fun while I roasted some peppers. I dropped over every so often to see an assortment of goblins and fairies.

Sitting on pumpkin,
Hoping for a treat—
I’m sure that a goblin’s
Tickling both my feet.

I’d be very happy
For a Hershey Kiss®
Savoring that chocolate
Would be utter bliss.

How long must I wait here?
Until day is done?
Can’t my mom and dad see
I’m not having fun?

Come on, Mom and Daddy,
Rescue me from here!
Take me trick-or-treating—
It’s that time of year!

The cute never stops here! The children are adorable, and much fun is in their future. Ours are 21 and 19, and don't dress up (our daughter in fact is in Salem MA for Halloween). Lovely!

Thanks for your comment about winter. However, near New York City, we don't have nearly the snow and cold you do in that western Province. Snow is artistic either further south or further north!

I just love seeing kids in their costumes. All your little ones are so adorable, Kay. The pink hair reminds me of my costume when I was teaching.

So cute!
I have a confession to make: the flying leaf was tethered by a spider line. I just took the opportunity God gave me to make some neat photos!
