Mellow yellows we saw in China

Green and yellow statues, yellow flowers,
at a bus stop in Beijing.

Green and yellow bus in Beijing.

Constant construction is going on everywhere in China.

Temporary construction, however, like this arch with the brilliant yellow and red dragons, can be fun.

Very interesting scenes in Beijing! I am amazed at the large paved open walk area in the first photo! And interesting abstract sculptures too!

Hi, Kay, but there not, sometimes they forget to change the water... huhuhu..

Anyway, your shots are cool, that's so much humans on the bus...the world's first in terms of pop. love all your shots..

have a nice day Kay, thanks for dropping by Petty things in life.

Gosh! I'd love to see China someday. It's definitely on our bucket list.

Kay, you have visited so many interesting places. The bus looks very crowded but the streets look so clean.

The yellow stands out so well. I like those sculptures in the flowers. They look so cheerful.

Is that arch in the last photo inflatable? It sure looks like it. You could have asked them to deflate it and then take it home to put up in your garden for a summer party!

@ Mara -- You're right, it is inflatable, and I forgot to mention it, re ease of construction. A nice red arch with yellow dragons over a blue inflatable swimming pool is a good idea. LOL

love the dragon arch!
were you in Beijing for the Olympics? (sorry if you've already, said, maybe I missed that post)

@Lesley -- 'S'okay, can't expect people to memorize our wanderings, LOL. We were there a month before the Olympics when, unfortunately, the air pollution was still a problem. Otherwise, no problems at all. It was a wonderful trip and I'd do it again, only I'd like to go to Wolong to visit the panda sanctuary.

We are getting some of that too, here in Sydney, Kaye. Buildings with entire walls of bold colours, like yellow. Can't say it is to my taste ...
