Shadows follow Lindy from the lake

Lindy and her mom and dad had lingered long over a lovely lunch with dear friends in BC's beautiful Okanagan Valley, but Lindy's daddy was determined to return to the lake, to see if his Golden Retriever could swim. Yes, she could swim, but that didn't mean she had to like it. She pulled him out, through the waves and the foam, wanting the safety of a nice warm car and maybe a towel with which to dry her paws.

Ah, a happy, wet Lindy makes for a great shadow shot for the day, Kay! Hope all of you have a lovely weekend!

Gunner used to love to swim, however now that he is old he no longer cares to get wet. I wish he would because it's very good for his severe arthritis.

Reluctant swimmer. Our German shepherd loved to swim. We usually had trouble keeping him out of the water when it was too cold for him to swim.

Ah Lindy, we have a Lab back home in SA and she doesn't like any water, let alone a swim! Gentle pats for you, dear sweet girl. Auntie Jo xxx

I can't swim. Sigh... Lindy will have to teach me.

Oh Lindy, looks like your shadow needs a towel too.

I think Lindy is enjoying her comforts too much and swimming is out of her comfort zone. Love her shadows, but she seems to have a bit of a "hang dog" look. Yet she knows she's loved.

Jasmine is OBSESSED with swimming, especially chasing the Kong - she would cheerfully drown brother Luke to wrest it from him..........she actually tries to climb on his back and push him under. She cant do this any longer, since her surgery and it is a great loss to her. However am sure she will love walking along the edge of the ocean and maybe even a little bit IN it.....

I'm sure she spattered him with many cold water droplets for submitting her to the swim.

Great photos.

I'm back in India for a six months stay, the first two months have been mostly filled with rain as it is monsoon season.
