Jets leave their contrails across the sun

When my husband was walking our dog, Lindy, the other day, he spotted not one, not two, but three jets flying between him and the sun.
Close-up shots of the sun and the contrails may have been contraindicated, as they could have produced eye strain, but the fireworks effect was pretty much irresistible.

Call these "talky" skies. I live in the departure path for our local airport and love spotting these jet trails--never had one to intersect with the sun like your husband captured here. We all know the dangers to our eyesight from photos taken into the sun but you're right--hard to resist.
