The second week away

At the computer in the hotel lobby again, Lindy snoring at my feet again, and my intrepid photographer not so intrepid as he once was.
It's been a week since his surgery and his doctor says he "might" get to go home Thursday. Then again, he might not.
I'm being brave. Lindy is being spoilt by other hotel guests, especially those with children. And our dearly beloved is learning more than he ever wanted to know about life in a hospital.
He's fine. He's making progress, but slowly. The human body heals on its own schedule, not on mine, no matter how many TV shows I want to record Thursday evening.
But, here's hoping, for his sake, and for mine.

Good thoughts are winging your way (and -- obviously your intrepid photographer's way as well, it's just about the same thing, isn't it?)

(I am happy you found a hotel where Lindy is welcome. A significant blessing at a time like this!)

Oh Kay... I'm so sorry. You must be exhausted and so worried. Poor Dick. I'm sure he'd love to be home again now. We have noticed that as we get older, we do heal a little slower.

I hope he gets discharged in time for you to record your shows .. and here's to a speedy recovery at home!

Hoping that he and you will be going home very soon. Not easy to spend all that time in a hospital.

Hope you are all doing well, and that Lindy is not getting too spoilt. and that your 'hubby' recovers quickly from his surgery.

Yes, the healing process is so unique to every individual. Glad to hear Dick is continuing to do well and that there is a possibility of going home soon. Although Lindy is getting lots of attention at the hotel, I am sure she will be more than ready to get home, too, and return to her walks with Dick. Hope you had a chance to see some parks around the city in between visits to the hospital. :)
