Dick and I have been to the
Dominican Republic together, and he has also been there on two other trips, accompanied by a
different
daughter each time.
Is it a great place for a holiday?
Dick thinks so, but he does hope the next time he earns a company trip, it will be in a
different location. Variety, after all, is the spice of life, especially when it comes to travel.
Congratulations to Dominican hurdler Felix Sanchez for a fine performance in his heat of the Men's 400m Hurdles at the Olympics on Monday.

Love the variety of photos! I have never seen photos of the Dominican Republic before. Love the one of you and Dick together! You both look so happy! And Dick parasailing is awesome!
Looks like a wonderful place - don't think I'd enjoy the long flight there though! Dick is braver than I am for parasailing - kudos!
Aww … that is a sweet photo of you and Dick, Kay! I had no idea he went parasailing but I seem to recall you mentioning he did the limbo on one of your adventures. I can see why keeping up with all that activity would be a challenge at times. :)

Yes it was wonderful to see how happy Felix Sanchez was to win his medal. It reminded me that I'd like to visit the Dominican Republic one day, plus Cuba although I'm not sure if you're allowed to do both at the same time!

Dominican Republic, Puerto Plata about 2000 I think - put on weight with all that food and had to go on a diet - both of us. Brought back good memories Kay.
