TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD
a 1960 novel by Harper Lee
a 1962 movie starring Gregory Peck and Mary Badham
Atticus Finch, a lawyer in the southern US town of Maycomb, is thinking about his daughter Jean Louise, nicknamed Scout, who loves to have adventures just as her brother and his friends have.
oh, that Scout!
will that girl ever learn?
ahh, she probably won’t learn
not to climb trees with boys
but she’ll learn a lot
I know she will
she’s a smart girl, our Jean Louise
and she’ll learn
about human nature
about good and evil
about justice and injustice
and a whole lot more

Very neat and Very true!
I named one of my mustangs "Scout" because she is very curious, like the little girl in the book and movie! And, our son's dog is "Atticus"! LOVE the movie. I haven't read the book...that is on my "to do" list!
Nice take on the prompt! I really like the tone.
I loved that movie and Gregory Peck was so awesome!
I read the book and I love it! It seems to be the only book written by Harper Lee. Amazing, isn't it?
My all time favourite book - I'm reading it to one of my classes now. Just past the place where Mrs Dubose dies, and I was fighting back the tears for the twentieth time.
I read this book for the first time a few years ago and then watched the movie! Absolutely love the book, the characters... and Gregory Peck :)
I was away and didn't participate. Did I tell you I studied this book when I was 15. Gregory Peck, wow, he was so handsome. May be that was why we girls paid full attention. I better read it again, cause in 1970, I didn't really understand the book.
