It's been a while since I participated, but I couldn't resist this week's theme: trains and planes!

| After my parents died, I came close to crossing all of Canada by train, a trip my mother and I had discussed for decades, intending to leave from Vancouver, but we never made it. I managed to do most of it, from Edmonton, Alberta, to Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 2010.

I love trains. Living on a tiny island, we have the subway but not the traditional trains.
