Stairway Reflections and Shadows, Antwerp

This fascinating winding stairway in Antwerp isn't something I would care to climb! However, during our spring cruise in Belgium and The Netherlands with Viking River Cruises, my husband knew I'd love the stairway's shadows and its reflections in the doors, as well as other reflections in this shot of Belgian brick architecture. There are even shadows and reflections in the lamp post!

I have climbed up the stairs in the light house, but I thought these steps are much harder to climb.

You have been to many places in your trip!

The shadows and reflections are an effective work of art on the side of the building! Very impressive!

Wow! What a great picture - I agree - I wouldn't want to climb it, but the picture is one of those happy surprises!
Hugs, Antonella :-)
P.S. I am also participating in SSS2, and I've created a free printable / digi with the shadow quote this week...

Delightful, Kay, simply delightful! Your husband has a good eye for the whimsical!

A SHADOW THE SIZE OF THE SUN

If I had a shadow the size of the sun,
I’m not sure how fast I’d be able to run,
Or if I could flee from its ravenous jaws,
While keeping away from its razor-sharp claws!

Double the staircases gives one pause - is it faster up if I take the staircase on the left, or on the right. Or which one is authentic. Inquiring minds need to figure it all out...
