Pet Pride: Lindy with her Kong

When Lindy's mom and dad go out for a couple of hours and leave her in the nice big fenced back yard, they give her a treat to keep her occupied for as long as possible. She stays busy for quite a while when her red Kong toy is filled with peanut butter. Here, her daddy gave her the Kong, then peeked at her from behind her favorite tree to get some photos of the peanut butter process!

Posted for
Pet Pride
hosted by Lindy's friend Bozo and his family
in Mumbai, India, at their Pets Forever blog.
"Hi Bozo," says Lindy. "I don't like to have my family leave me behind,
"but I do love eating the peanut butter out of my red toy.
"It's good exercise, too, especially for my jaws and my paws!
"And it's so nice in my yard now that the snow has melted.
I hope it doesn't come back."

It's interesting. I've never seen a dog who liked peanut butter before. May a lot of dogs do and I just have never seen it :-)

Now I'm curious, what does the Kong look like? King Kong? Makes me think of Bro and his teddy bear. He loves to drag it around the yard and then brings it in to his dog bed in the den to sleep with. - Margy

We have one of those toys in SA. I only used it for my precious Rottweiler who died in July 200. Added dog biscuits which he had out before we even closed the door to leave! (((Hugs))) Jo Next comment for Lindy. Hi Lindy, our parents have been going out a lot recently but I sleep on my fave chair under the dining table cloth. Ambrose has great fun pulling mum's toilet roll off the holder and leaving pieces in the passage. Ha-ha. serves the yoomens right. Purrs from Shadow (and Ambrose and Ginger!)

Looks as if she is a fan of peanut butter ! I ate it for the first time when I was at my aunt's in the States and didn't like it at all ! Lindy should have known my uncle he ate peanut butter with everything ! And he loved dogs !

My humans give me a Kong when they leave too but they don't put peanut butter in it anymore. I like it though. It certainly would take me longer if it had peanut butter.

Kay,
Pets do double up for kids. I know of many that give better treatment to their pets. Pets are lucky!

What a patient dog to spend time getting peanut butter from the kong. My largest (small) dog would try to eat the kong, and the smaller small dog couldn't be bothered. I tried once!

I fill our pooches kongs with bits of kibble, then plug the hole with peanutbutter and put it in the freezer. Filling the whole thing with peenut butter would be their dream treat!! Love the pics of Lindsey enjoying her treat.

A Kong is a much safer alternative to a rawhide chew - and the peanut butter makes Lindy's coat glossy:-)

I have no idea what a Kong is. I shall look it up now.
