Mine for this week:
He watched the young human bucks in the school.
He was a young buck once, very young, with 2-point antlers, never a trophy worth shooting.

"Will somebody please take me to a home,
where there are not teenage boys.
This gets so tiresome. Sigh"

Kay, both you and Suzanne did great. Yours is poignant.
Have a great week.
Awe! Never worth shooting? LOL!
But now he is a proud Mustang, even sporting the school T-shirt and hat...So he ended up a winner...sort of.
Pat;
He was a young buck once and I bet a handsome one! Good one, and Susanne's too. Good job.
Kay Ma'am.
A hunter didn't choose whether matured or adolescent. It was just a pity! Great take.
Hank
Oh but he is a handsome buck, maybe not so young anymore but still handsome! Good Micro Monday!
I can feel Susanne's pain! LOL!

He is quite a handsome buck, Kay! Nice take on the theme.
Not even worth shooting! I've had days like that!! I totally empathize! Great one for the day, Kay!
Sylvia
Young buck-get it! Great take this week.
Oh, very good. I liked the wordplay.
Looks like we had similar thoughts this week...loved the ones from you two this week...
Cheers!
Nice, Kay. Not worth shooting is a put down if I ever heard one. :)
And Suzanne, oh, those boys!
Happy Thanksgiving, Guys!
..
Kay your take was lovely. I agree with Michael, poignant. It touched me.
I think you're all very clever and I also like Sylviamorice's contribution. Great minds. :)
Suzanne (blogless)
Sigh...
Very sad...
@ Jim -- I mean he never lived to grow to proper trophy size. Shooting a 2-point buck is like killing a teenager, deerwise.

@ Anonymous Blogless Suzanne - I think we're holding our own in the big bad blogosphere, don't you, partner?
Luv, K
Poor dear - er- deer!
Two excellent takes. Enjoyed them.
Aw...Poor fella...though every turkey in America wants to be him this week...not worth shooting. :) You're friend's contribution made me laugh!
Yeah- can't they leave us in peace- sheeesh- Thanks.
The deer in our region are so overprotected, overfed and overabundant...I'd almost rather see them as trophies and dinner than dead at the side of the road as I do so many these days.
And then in the winter, they'll starve. It's a pretty awful fate...
Ironically, my word verification is "spaye" but you can't do that with wild does.
I like 'never a tropy worth shooting' - Amen to that
"Buck" seems to have a lot in common with my Mustang Sally. Perhaps they should get together? LOL!

The poor deer got more attention after passing then while he lived. Nice ones. :-)
That moved me and made me feel quite sad :(
Love the referral to the young bucks... good one! :O)
Yes, it's ironic. And they wonder why they keep loosing each game by two points.
These are both great. Love the "sigh" at the end :)
Nice one Kay!
I didn't know about the two points
Thanks for sharing! (I will file that away for future reference in my writing!)

I wonder if young bucks shot the young buck - poor creature! I can imagine the aggravation of being dressed up all the time, too.
