Pretty painting of puffins posted on wall in Sea World Orlando.

Puffin pecking Project Puffin poster to point out picture where he poses with one of his parents. |
Although I know there are puffins in the oceans on both sides of Canada, this little fellow at Sea World in Orlando, Florida, is the only puffin I've been privileged to see personally. Here, he is peeking over his shoulder at the naturalist, while the tourists are peering at him.
Participating in Project Puffin is a pretty big job for a young puffin like him.

Bonjour sweet Kay,
This is a place that I would enjoy visiting so much, I'm always enchanted by those little cute critters.Your pictures are fabulous and that little girl looks very interesting about the "lesson", it's so interesting indeed!
BTW love the mural! ;)

I like the look of your new blog a lot, Kay! The puffin you met in person is beyond cute and hopefully not too shy to deal with all the onlookers.
This is phascinating, Kay! I've never had the privilege of personally meeting a puffin, but lucky you! Love the poster, too!
They say there are puffins in Ireland, but I never saw one. I would love to see one one day, even if it's only in a zoo...
I've never met a Puffin Personally, but, he looks almost like a stuffed Puffin. Very cute post for P day.
Puffins are so unusual and marvellous to look at. I have never been lucky enough to see one.
What a terrific post for the P Day! I've never met a Puffin Personally either, but how cute he is! Always learn something new when I visit your blog, Kay, and that's always the best! Have a great day! Enjoy!

Puffin are cute !
Whew! That is a pretty good tongue twister you got in there with the Puffin pecking!
A very entertaining and informative post!
I am pretty positive that I've never seen a puffin. Great post for P.
I've never seen a puffin in real life. I would love to though. :)
I would love to see Puffins in their natural habitat. They look like a cartoon. How nice to have a Puffin Project.
A very good post that I enjoyed perusing, and I hope the project will be a great success.
I don't think I've ever actually SEEN a puffin, only PICTURES of PUFFINS.

OK ummmm....this post really appeals to me more than the one below. (Those snow pictures are absolutely heavenly and pure, but they make me cold even to look at.)
There are puffins sometimes on the Oregon Coast (they tell us) but we've never been able to get a glimpse of them, except at the Oregon Aquarium.
I have always found the Puffin very interesting.

Haven't seen a real puffin yet. They are cute!
Thanks Kay, for your suggestion.
Wish I could get someone to go with me but I live alone with the cats. Out of the 2 nieces and 2 nephews I have, 3 reside in Canada. One reside here but she travels overseas a lot for work.
Thanks again Kay for your concern. I will be careful.
What a darling Puffin....This was so interesting!
Oh, what fun - the puffins are so cute!
This is a beautiful bird. Never seen it before.
Hi Kay, I have never seen a real puffin, but these photos are so cute. Its been a long time since I've been to Orlando, maybe its time to revisit!
Oh how darling to meet a puffin in person! Perfect for P day, Kaye!
I've seen puffins in the wild but I have never been that close to one. You lucky thing!
You are so much more creative and adventurous with your blog, Kay! I am inspired by you. Gorgeous photos!
How cute ! I have been to Sea World in Orlanda long time ago, but I don't remember this little bird !
Puffins are really pretty. I would love to see those in real life (but I don't think anyone will let me. I know I am a bird predator). They are so cute.
My Mommie/Mummy has seen Puffins real close. She worked for a time on Iceland and got to visit this island where there were lots and lots of them. (They even sold them in the grocery store. I mean you could buy them and eat them. But Mommie/Mummy never did.)
Very nice post!
Excellent P-word!

those are cute little birdies. I thought they were a little bigger for some reason?
Thanks for the info.
Gill in Southern Ontario
@ Gill -- this is a young puffin, that's why he is only a handful for the naturalist. He will grow, although I don't really know how big they get.
Funny little bird.
I LOVE puffins, but have never seen one in real life. (Can you believe I'm just an hour away from Orlando?) I haven't been to Sea World in years, but this makes me want to go!
@ Leslie -- I got the "behind the scenes" ticket (I'm not sure that's exactly what it's called), so I got to meet a penguin, too. I'd do anything to see penguins.

A Perfect Post, Kay. Puffins are such adorable birds to my eyes though I've never seen one in the wild.
You know, you always write such lovely, thoughtful comments on my posts and I really do appreciate them - thank you :-)
they are beautiful and amazing creatures, and of course you are right, the King's Bath is in the City of Bath.
I've only seen them in pictures, but maybe one day I will be lucky and see them on the cliffs.
The Puffin is such a neat bird! Saw lots way up in Northern Maine on a family vacation many years ago.
My ABC Wednesday
I've never seen one up close! Great shots of the little guy!
Too cute. How great that you were able to capture it on film.
When we traveled to Nova Scotia, we took a boating tour that circled Bird Island. Got lots of great shots of puffins but have never seen one this close.
