Let's leaf reality for a while, it's Microfiction Monday time!

Walking to the fishing hole with her dad was the best part, before her life jacket had to be worn, before a worm had to be put on the hook.

And my friend Suzanne's take on it for this week:
one leaf, two leaf, three leaf, four ...
whoa, there's a lot of 'em

Posted by Kay for Microfiction Monday hosted by the very busy Susan at Stony River. Thanks, Susan!

Terrific, Kay, as I knew it would be! Glad you've joined the fun! Enjoy your evening!

I like it Kay.

It would be the best part - not every kid likes the nitty-gritty of fishing. And for sure, there are a lot of leaves...

I remember wanting to be with dad even if it meant worms on a hook-LOL! Great !

Kay..I love to visit your blog, but it is very difficult to leave a comment with the embedded blogger comment setting. I can't use Firefox and IE is a drain on my old computer. If you change the settings in the comments to pop-up instead of embedded, it will be easier for people like me....Michelle

Both good ones....

Oh this is wonderful, Kay! I agree! Sticking that worm on the hook would turn me off to fishing right away.

Ah, the things the child must put up with :-)

Ah, I remember those fishing trips too. Life jackets were too cumbersome and hot and those wriggly, jiggly worms were yucky. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Terrific! What a sweet little girl. I hope she has a great day with her dad.

I think this is the best one you've written so far.

I empathise with the fishing tale (from your childhood, maybe??)
As for the counting - well, it's difficult when you're little ;-)

Both your and Suzanne's were great! If she's anything like my kids, she'll take so long to walk to the fishing hole that her Dad will just give the thought of fishing@

This is so sweet--being with daddy is the most important thing. Thanks for the chuckle!

"Leaf reality?" You're very punny.

Loved the tone of this one, the child loving the part before the restrictions set in.

Have a great week.

Soon, she'll outgrow all of that. :O)

Very nice. The walk would be the best part for me, too.

Amen to the worm part...yuck!

I like the destination you choose.

Too cold for the water? I'd prefer the walk too.

I'm in agreement! :)

So I guess it was dad who took the picture of his little girl...hope she had fun even in the life jacket and with a worm on her hook!
Have a great week. Cheers!
