DICK AND LINDY'S SHADOWS

Dick looms over Lindy like a long-necked beast.

Lindy casts a long shadow above which we see Dick, looking very small.

Long-legged dog shadow, with long-legged man shadow above and behind her.
Richard Schear photos, on a walking path not far from our house.

Posted for Shadow Shot Sunday.
Thanks to Tracy at Hey Harriet! for this fascinating meme.
For other interesting shadows from around the world

Lindy looks monstrous in shadow - beautiful and not a monster at all for real. She is a smily beauty, only the shadow may be considered ‘tough;’. I love Goldens!

Wonderful shadow - like a giraffe!

Long long shadows.

I have never seen such elongated shadows. Interesting!

Watching shadows and making them change is great fun, fascinating too because you can play all sorts of tricks.

Those are super loooong shadows, Kaye!

Of course ANY photos of Lindy are much appreciated by me. And she does look quite lovely with her golden, wavy fur. (I think my dog Lady is secretly jealous of Goldens' luxurious coats...)

As for your shadows and the interpretation thereof... all I can say is "hilarious!" It really does look like some kind of llama is looming over Lindy. Now try saying that 10 times, fast. ;-)

You have a great shot for the day, I love the long shadows.
Actually, the mosaic making is pretty easy with some online tools you can find at http://bighugelabs.com/mosaic.php

Thanks for the visit!

Long legs and elongated forms are unique to shadows this time of year. That can be quite compimentary to the human figure.

Did your husband get some sunset photos while in Edmonton?

@ Shirley - I don't think he did, Shirley. He was busy seeing clients all evening, but who knows, he might surprise me with some.

It's something I don't do very often, but I just hopped over form Mara's blog. Neat title and premise for your blog. Very interesting shots here and below too in Spain. Are you still snow covered? We're just cold down here near Ottawa.

What a great idea for a Sunday blog. I took some of these shadow shots years ago and loved them, but I don't know where there are right now. Maybe it's time to do it again. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. Hope we meet again.

I'm visiting you via Anvilcloud's blog. Enjoyed your posts and photos! Pats and hugs to your doggie. I'm currently dogless and sure do miss having a dog. I met and pet quite a few dogs today at an outdoor festival. :)

Interesting shadows cast.

They're awesome! Especially the last one. The shadows against the reddish coloured ground look super!

PS - Yes I should snap some shots of my gigantic dandelions before mowing them down! Just had a look at them before & they don't appear to be quite 3 metres... I think I may have exaggerated ever so slightly ;)

Have a great week!

Terrific shadows Kay! You put a smile on my face seeing these fun photos! Being short that I am, I would prefer looking tall!

Creative shadow shots, and so tall! Well done.

That last shot is particularly great! Don't you just love how shadows can be an exaggeration of what we are?

Fun shadows! Did I see frosty ground behind the grass tufts in the middle shot? We have seen a little frost here, but so far nothing that stays. Right now it is raining...
Thanks for coming by!
