Anybody know these guys?

This game is rather like Name That Tune, only different because there's no music.

I have to wonder what effect the twinning of an oil pipeline crossing the Rocky Mountains via Jasper National Park will have on the critters below. These are species at risk in Jasper National Park, which is on the route of the Kinder Morgan pipeline about which I raved earlier.
So...who's next to enter that unsavoury category? Several species have already become extinct in the park, with roads and vehicles being the most likely suspects in their extinction.
These below are not yet extinct but are considered "at risk" by Parks Canada.

But back to the quiz:
1. Can you name the critters in the first photo? Besides just "bears" — or do they not have a further name with which biologists classify them?
2. What about the masked fellow with the stand-up hair in the second photo?
3. Or the slim and spritely ungulate in the third?
4. And, last but not least, what about the ones (male and female have the same headgear) in the final photo? They are the most endangered. Some few years ago the last five of them farther south in Banff National Park were killed in an avalanche.
Photos thanks to Parks Canada
and particularly to photographers

the first piccie is the standard 'Grizzly' aka Silver-tip Brown Bear; 2nd chappy is not a bear, but a wolverine, largest of the weasel tribe, specilised jaws for chewing through frozen bone; the last two are both caribou (reindeer) at different stages in age and seasons.... Yxx

Crikey ..... I've got no idea what kind of bears they are. They sure look like good blokes though and I'm with you. Those pipe line things are NO GOOD!! keep 'em out of National parks. Are those last two photos really bears. Fair dinkum???? Next you'll be telling me koalas are bears!!!!

Ehm, bear, red panda, reindeer? I think I am not that good at it. Especially the red panda which I don't think lives in Canada, unless the photo was taken in the zoo.

Then again, all I ever saw was chipmunks!

The wolverine looks like he could be a tough guy to run into. It is relatively easy to access the backcountry these days, so more pressure is put on the natural inhabitants. - Margy

It is so very difficult to know what to do other than rant. We can glom onto the latest petitions, but who knows what good that does?
I am do discouraged about all this.
