E is for exhaustipated

I espied this word on Facebook recently and, although it isn't elegant, and I have no idea where it emerged from, I can especially relate to it. If I didn't know better, I might think I had invented it myself, but I didn't.
If you think you might find it egregiously offensive, please read no further.

Posted for the letter E on ABC Wednesday.

OOOHH this is a word from my childhood - dad used to use it when we kids had no play left in us. "Well mum, we finally exhaustipated them!"

I think it was a pleasing thing for the parents... YAM xx

Yes. I think I can use that new word most days Kay, especially Tuesdays and Wednesdays when we have the grandchildren over.

Shame you're not coming to the UK this year - I had reserved a table at Kay's Chippie. Never mind, enjoy Arizona, it will be warmer.

Thanks Kay, for the new word! Thanks for your visit too. Yes Captain Cook was all over the world, wasn't he?!
Hugs, Wil.

Hi Kay:

It's lovely to have you stopping by my page, now that I've finally gotten back to blogging. I have missed you with not being on-line, and I think your colourful E word perfectly explains how I let so much time slip through my hands!

Good to be back and I look forward to talking to you soon...:)

Excellent word! I shall use it in a true to life sentance: I was Exhaustipated after taking the kids to the airport before dawn and returning in Monday morning traffic!

I think that goes for any age. In answer to your Olympics question. No, we did not go to any of the Vancouver games. We entered the lottery for tickets and didn't get selected. By the time they opened up, we didn't see any that were at the top of our list that were still for sale at the regular price. Ticket resale agencies just wanted too much. But we did enjoy them on TV like this year. - Margy

Wonderfully descriptive Kay, - I know the feeling and this word adds a little lightness and humour to it.

I feel that way often.

I thought it meant something else. But I like this meaning better. I will have to remember it though!

That's pretty much it.
I have 6" of snow to shovel, or a kitchen floor to wash.
I might throw in the towel, and forget the kitchen!!!!
On the phone trying to get pain meds for hubby. sigh.
