This is Lindy's dog-cousin, Jasper, who was 13 years old. He died two days ago, after a very brief illness.
He was a good, gentle dog, who occasionally managed to leave home and go for a walk to the stores a few streets away. Store owners and clerks, even staff at the pub, knew to phone the house to say, "Jasper is here. We'll keep him until you pick him up."
He was very sociable. Here, he takes a tennis ball to meet his family as they arrive.Below, he is looking at me as if to say, "What would you like to do today, Auntie Kay? Would you like to walk up to the stores with me?" Whenever I visited overnight, he would spend the night spread out on the floor beside me, on guard even when asleep. I loved Jasper, and will miss him very much.

Oh I am so sorry for everyone's loss. When a beloved dog dies, it's just the same as losing a beloved human!

So sorry to hear that. It's always hard to loose a member of your family, be they two-legged or four-legged (or even more legged as the case may be).
It's tough losing a pet, isn't it?
What a sweet looking dog, I'm sorry he's passed on.
Jasper was one of the sweetest dogs in the neighborhood. Everybody loved him. I will dearly miss his warm greeting to me whenever he saw me walking down the road. :(
Rest in peace dear Jasper. I resently lost my elleven year old queen of a cat, so I know the feeling.. A friend of mine told me to put the belowed ones in a spesific star, and so I did. Every time I look up at night and se that star, I give my lost ones a smile <3
This is so sad. He has such a kind looking face.
Such a horrible thing! I still haven't recovered from losing my last dog and it has been almost 4 years.
Sweet Jasper, maybe he plays with Ola now? Never anyone to loose.
