Reflections on the Tet River in France

                                                                                Photos by Richard Schear

While staying in the Languedoc-Roussillon area of France earlier this month, we wanted to take the scenic mountain tour on "The Little Yellow Train" from Villefranche-de-Conflent to La-Tour-du-Carol. The scenery on the ride southwest from Perpignan to Villefranche was wonderful, but when we got there, we discovered the Yellow Train wasn't running that day. It was only an hour's ride back to Perpignan, and the trip along the Tet River, with the mountains in the background, provided some lovely reflections for Dick's camera. Back in Perpignan, we decided to go to Avignon the same day, perhaps to get photos for another post to

Refecting majestic purple mountains, with scenery like that it certainly wasn't a wasted trip.

I do love your watery reflections! What a beautiful place! Terrific captures as always, Kay! Lovely snowy mountains in the background, too! Hope you have a wonderful Happy Easter weekend!

That is such a lovely area of France. I spent several days there a few years ago, after a visit to Barcelona. I so much miss traveling since budget cuts and the loss of my nursing position of 21 years. I am so glad I traveled all my life until then!

Such a beautiful setting! Romantic! Love those peaks of snow and then the earthy tones and then the blue of the water! Magic!

I just scrolled a little through your posts and saw your pictures, I came back from France yesterday afternoon and am still a little "homesick" not because of the French Riviera (I thought I was in Italy) but because of the stay with Clauie and her family, such warmhearted and cheerful people !

It is all a lovely area down south, Kay. I have spent two weeks in and around Avignon and last September a week down in Carcassonne. Had a car during the first journey but not the second. Just lovely ...

You certainly did have perfectly blue skies, Kay! I can just feel my lungs expand as I take in a deep breath of that mountain air. And mountains reflected in a lake... gorgeous!
