Yellow bird, we have no banana tree

Trees on the Galapagos Islands are scarcely more than large shrubs. Birds like this Yellow Warbler have adapted to the harsh terrain of the islands.

This juvenile Yellow Warbler is looking for lunch on the beach.

Yellow legs get dirty in the dark volcanic rocks of this Lava Heron's neighborhood.

The fluffy head of this young Frigate Bird won't stay yellow for long.

To all my blogger friends, I haven't been able to comment very much as we have been traveling, and won't be home for a while yet. However, I'll try to drop in on some memes when and where I can. No, we're not in the Galapagos Islands again. We're in Paris now, and heading for the south of France later this week. Please don't feel sorry for us, just forgive me for not commenting on your posts. - K

Oh, Kay, I'm so happy to hear from you! How wonderful that you are in Paris in spring... and I'm sure your visit with other bloggers have been delightful. I'm sure our turn - in BC or elsewhere - will come. Your yellow warbler and other bird shots are great for MYM!

Thanks for visiting mhy blog today, Kay. Hope you're having a wonderful time in Paris. Glad Lindy is OK. We are preparing to get Shadow up here (with us) on 22 May when we return. He is well and socializing with the other cats in the pet hotel in Bloemfontein. I think I posted about him last Monday. Ginger is alone in Kerio, Kimwarer Valley(with my houselady feeding him) as we're in Nairobi until tomorrow. I will try to fix my post but am enjoying the "city" for now. Happy birthday to Dick. Our two Granddaughter's had theirs yesterday. Bless you my friend. Jo
