Dick enjoyed this hammock at the Miconia Hotel on San Cristobal when we visited the Galapagos Islands in 2006, but he had trouble getting himself out of it later. (Photo by Kay Davies) |

definitely a place worth visiting again!
beautiful place, looks relaxing esp the hammock, the mosaic floor tiles were interesting...the lovely poinsettias...
I wanna sit on his lap : )
never fancied a hammock myself - it is the thought of how to get out of it that has always put me off.
Wow looks wonderful there!
Lucky guy!

MYM
Getting out of them is definitely the down side of hammocks.
There's an art to "hammocking." Unfortunately, I haven't learned it as well as Dick has!
RAINBOW LULLABY
Hush, little baby, it’s no time to cry,
Mama will sing you a sweet lullaby—
A bright rainbow song on this darksome night,
A bright rainbow song that’s sure to delight:
Green are the pastures where flocks of sheep graze;
Grey and begrimed are the skies on fog-days.
Red is the color of sun going down;
Black is the smudge of a terrible frown.
Blue are the mountains that rise from the plain;
Shimmering golden the Kansas wheat-grain.
So many colors, my baby, my fair!
So many colors right here and right there!
And thinking of colors under the sun,
Yellow’s the brightest of all, little one!

You are right--can't get much more comfortable than that! I'll bet you had a great time on that trip--a place well worth visiting. Mickie
