Book Blurb Friday: Follow the Light

FOLLOW THE LIGHT
by Claude Grey
Three weeks after a mistake in her cancer surgery, Elena is still in a coma. While her husband and family run around suing the hospital, the surgeon, the nurses and the anaesthetist, Elena cannot communicate with them. They can’t know her wishes about resuscitation, life-support and extraordinary measures, but assume she’ll want them used because she’s only forty-five.
Although she can’t hear them argue, Elena doesn’t particularly want to return to angry, litigious relatives.
She can hear soft music, and a sweet voice singing, “Follow the light, my darling, follow the light.” She can also see... she can see a grove of green and golden trees, lit from without and from within by an ethereal light.
Author Claude Grey goes into the light along with Elena, and discloses what she found there in distinctive, daring prose. A compelling read, an astonishing conclusion.

What an interesting take this week! In fact, I thoroughly enjoyed reading yours and all who played. (Almost like reading extremely short novels-LOL!)

That's a compelling blurb, Kay! I would certainly want to read more if this was an actual book. This meme is a perfect fit for you, isn't it?!

I must say I'm tempted to play along , too. Seems that almost every week I visit you, I find another new meme luring me in...LOL!

You’ve written a tantalizing piece about a story that ought to be written by someone. This has all the basics of a good novel and is quite plausible. Many people have said when they see the light they don’t want to come back to earth. :)

Little different blurb here...I think there would be a market for this one too since so many discuss and search for what is on the other side of things.....

Nice job. I've been saying this to all the bloggers participating in BBF that everyone needs to be writing the book to their blurbs!

Your last paragraph is a perfect finale for your blurb. You took this in a completely unexpected direction. Well done!

Well you have certainly piqued my interest and if this were a real book, I'd have to read the last page first!
