Watching skies at home

At this time every year I always post photos of the beautiful skies of southeastern Alberta, where I live with my husband Richard and our funny little terrier-mix Bonnie-Belinda.

The photos seldom change from year to year, of course, because there isn't much new out there, but the sky does change, and I always love the view we have when standing on the deck, looking down the path to the back gate.

A new feature this past year or so has been the delight of our garden and household, our sweet, funny little terrier-mix, Bonnie-Belinda, who 'owns' the back yard.
She allows access to us, but only to us. At the front the door, visitors get short shrift, along with the patented Bonnie bark, but she agrees to let them in if we vouch for them.
Cyclists and neighbouring dogs are another story, however, and subjects good for another day.

Posting here for Fiona's
SKY WATCH FRIDAY
(I admit Bonnie is a little low-slung to qualify for Sky Watch photos, but we like to include her whenever, as Fiona surely understands.)

I love Bonnie-Belinda - what a sweetie, even if she is a little snooty.

Well, Bonnie-Belinda, you found your furever place and you are going to defend it to the claw, right?! What a wonderfurs garden it is, too... and what a vista in the sky above it. Hugs to mum and dad and wags to you, YAM-aunty xxx

Kay - any day with blue skies and lilacs and your cute puppy are days worthy of photos!!! We have a cat that thinks she is a dog and is very protective of our house … visitors often get a surprise 'swipe' as they walk past the couch!

Beautiful blue skies. Always fun to look up and at the clouds for shapes. Thanks for sharing at Pictorial Tuesday

I love watching the changing sky whether it be from stormy to sunny or day to night or vice-versa, there is something about it that makes me feel grounded and somewhat insignificant in the whole scheme of things!

She would be welcome in our cabin any time. John is desperately looking for a new lab/collie mix puppy (like Bro was), but they are pretty rare around here. And expensive for a dog that isn't pedigreed. He keeps trying the SPCA but the pups go so fast he can't get over to Vancouver Island before they are gone. Our local SPCA doesn't have puppies, only one older dog right now. Plus his dad is very ill and the family doesn't want a puppy around. Poor John, he misses his companion so much. - Margy
