Down by the river side

Coulee — Wikipedia says "a deep ravine" and I add "carved by a river, over a long time."

South Saskatchewan River, right, beneath coulee walls.

Especially in that last shot, the deer were aware of you. It took a moment to find the other one in that one shot.

A magnificent landscape!

did I tell you I used to live in Edmonton, along the banks of the Saskatchewan river?

You see so many deer - that's wonderful!

Hahaha ... where there's one deer there are probably two or more that's for sure, Kay. Great perspective from a distance. :)

I didn't see the deer until I took a second look - I was focused on the magnificent scenery.

Lovely place for a hike as long as the deer don't mind of course.

Wonderful photographs of an interesting beautiful landscape. I couldn't pick out the river until I blew the photo up. Its colour melted into the background but I had no problem finding the three deer.

Hi Kay, I thought I left a comment but I do not see it.
I was trying to say that we live in such a beautiful country and the amazing diversity of geography and wildlife is magnificent. We are blessed.
