Photos by Kay Davies, in Iceland, March 28, 2014 |
Crowds wait for a geyser to erupt (top) and photograph it during and after the column of steam and hot water bursts toward the sky. In the opposite direction, three small clouds try to look like Icelandic sheep above the landscape.

Yes Iceland must be beautiful my son went there a few years ago and came back with wonderful pictures.
I saw the pictures in your post below and the landscapes look very special.
How nice! Experience similar feel in N. Zealand where the pungent sulpher aroma permeated the air. Great pics,Kay!

YAAAAYYYYY home safe!! Am so glad you found the beauty and greatly looking forward to the pictorial offerings and the ruminations. So far, so enticing... YAM xx
What a treat for you - and what lovely photos for us.
Hi Kay, You clearly enjoyed Iceland, its scenery and its horses. Didn't know about the horses. I wonder if you saw The Northern Lights, a reason I would like to go so far north.
So glad you saw some "pinkies" in their true surroundings. It sounds like you saw a Redwing a member of the thrush family which breeds in profusion in Iceland, and also a White Wagtail, very common up there.
You must excuse me. It's early Saturday evening and we are off to our occasional treat, a visit to Kay's Knott End Chippie for a plate of haddock and chips.
