Did someone say flat prairie? It's not flat where deep coulees have been carved into it by rivers and streams over the ages. Dick and Lindy have been going for their walks in the early morning recently, and Dick was able to capture photos of these three horses enjoying their breakfast, and also of a helicopter flying by after the mist of early morning burned off.

How could I possibly pass up a title like that. Love the countryside and horses :)

I love the horse and coulee picture, - it reminds me so of summers that I spent with my grandparents on what was then the outskirts of Calgary, out by the dam.

As you know I don't care much for mountains (which is almost sacrilege over here in Norway, but so be it), but those coulees... A special place in my heart for them and I want to thank you so much once again for showing them to me!

Lovely place and so much contrast between the blue and the brown in the two picture!! The sky humming with activity and the leisurely horses below!!

Interesting, undulating landscape - ankle-twisting, even;-)

Pretty scene with the horses!
And I like the red and white helicopter against the deep blue sky, too!
Have a wonderful day!

I've only been in a helicopter twice, but both times were lots of fun. I love the way they swoop up on takeoff. The best ride was over the Grand Canyon. All of the windows make picture taking so easy. It has a whole different feel than flying in our plane which gives you a more closed in feel. - Margy

The horses make a peaceful scene and nice to have a different view of a prairie.

I like your prairie, Kay. It is nice looking scenery, different for me. I've been to about half the provences and territories in Canada but not Alberta. Perhaps there will be a reason for me to go there sometime. I would like it.
