My husband Dick and our dog Lindy were out walking with my brother Clint and his wife Maria last week. The evening shadows were getting longer, but the skies were still a pretty blue as they followed the path around the coulee a short distance from our house.

Lovely shadow shots as always, Kay! And it does look like a lovely time and place for a walk! Hope your weekend is going well! Enjoy!

Such great scenery.
I love the deep colors in that area. You really have red dirt. There must be a lot of iron in the soil.
Lindy loves to walk, and probably fast, too. Happily such long shadows appear for a cooler respite. Then Lindy moves along. The happy dog gets such long walks, the master (or mistress) is happy to be the guide!
What a lovely area to take a walk Kay - and yes that soil looks very red. I'm sure Miss Lindy loves her outings!
I love the contours in the land.
O what a beautiful moment! Love the softness and ambience of summer evening walks!
What a nice place to take a walk, and it looks so nice and Summery with the late afternoon shadows.
A lovely day! Nice photos. Here's my SSS share. Happy Sunday!
Happy Sunday to you, my best friend migrated to Alberta with the whole family. That is a lovely expanse of beautiful surroundings, and it certainly is a big shadow, haha! Is that a shadow of a hill or what! Nevertheless, those grasses will be good to shoot when they are flowering.
What a wonderful afternoon stroll you've shared. I bet y'all felt energized after such a walk.
STILT WALKER?
Have a happy Sunday.
Such a beautiful landscape there!

Love the first show - very dramatic.
Beautiful landscape with all those shadows.
Very nice photos.
Regards!
A beautiful time of day.
you have such beautiful space around you
Kay, this looks like an ideal spot for a late day walk. Hope the mosquitos aren't as horrible and abundant as they are here!
Lindy seems reluctant to get on with the walk--or am I imagining things?
I’M YOUR SHADOW
Hello, there, I’m your shadow,
I tag after you;
Whatever you are doing,
That is what I do.
If you should fling a football
Forty yards or more,
I’ll be right beside you,
Evening the score.
If you should flick a booger
From your stuffy nose,
I will surely do the same—
Watch how far it goes!
So, friend, be very careful
What you say and do—
Whatever you are doing,
I’ll do just as you!
