Pet Pride— Lindy loves to roll around on the ground

Oh, I'm such a happy puppy!

Photos by Kay Davies, April 30, 2011
I had to brush her off before letting her come into the house after this display of happy dogginess. As you can see, our lawn isn't quite green yet, and is still full of winter-kill bare patches. Out on our boulevard, however, the weeds are growing like, um, weeds!

My Joe does that too!! Love it when he does that. I can rub his belly :D I can imagine you brushing dust off of Lindy! My other doggie, Max, has a long thick coat, too.

Now that I call a happy dog, lol !

BTW I put 8 kg kitchen salt on the gravel and not one single weed cames out. I did it already last year. It's not dangerous for animals and much cheaper than the chemical products. I put also salt on our terrace so that no grass can grow there in the holes !
Today I will meet a blog friend from Sidney, she came for the wedding and wanted to try out the Eurostar, so I meet her at the station.

My monsters love rolling around in the sand. I think it's something to do with making sure they are as dirty as they can be by the time they get back in the house! I can't see any other reason!

And please don't talk about weeds! No matter what I do, they keep coming back...

What a show off! My cats do that do but they are indoor, so no dusting!

Hope your spring grasses come sooner!

Lindie is lucky to have such an understanding owner. I think it's great when a dog is allowed to be a dog. :)

You have captured the pure exuberance so well! There is nothing quite as content as a joyful dog.

I like rolling in the grass too. Sometimes along my walk I'll just lay down and roll around for awhile. Naturally my owners wait for me. Hope you will come and watch my video of my spring 4-mile walk.

Such a happy girl Lindy is,and I can well imagine what her coat looked like when she stood up again...my very small girl does the same...lol. I love the wonderful sense of exuberance dogs have...a quality their human companions often lose sight of. These pictures made me smile. Kay...:)
