The above photo, taken in early July, 2007, shows North Vancouver and West Vancouver.
In the mid-left distance, with snow below them, are the two mountain peaks known as "The Lions".
Rowers on Vancouver's False Creek, with Stanley Park in the near distance.
My world consists of eastern Alberta and western British Columbia.

Those Lions reminded me of something else altogether. Sorry about the dirty mind!
Beautiful photographs! I now understand why my niece, who lives in Vancouver, misses the mountains when she's travelling away.
It IS a little wet out here today in BC, Kay. Nice to know that when you are not here in body you are still here in spirit. If you took a picture of those mountains today you would find them a lot whiter I think as there seems to be a fair bit of snow in the higher elevations.
Nothing can quite compare to mountains alongside the ocean.
These pictures are wonderful!

Vancouver is so gorgeous!
I do love the rowers on the water and what terrific captures, Kay, as always! Hope your week is going well!

Such awesome beauty!
Sounds like it may be time for a visit to your old west coast eh?
I miss the wet EAST coast!! There has been a lot of rain in Atlantic Canada this past week or so. I hope, someday to travel out to Vancouver.
I spent five days in Vancouver once - and it only rained on my last day. I fell in love with the place. But now, they have more snow than we do, so I'm content.
Beautiful photos. I'll bet it looks different today. Thanks for sharing.
My old stomping grounds:)
So lovely!
I love your part of the world. I hope I can see it again one of these days. These photos are great!
beautiful just beautiful
I miss it too, and I've only visited twice. The kids live on English Bay.
The Lions of West Vancouver were very much part of my world for a number of years... How nice to see them...
