Not abused, just disappointed

"I smell something cooking on the stove. It smells like eggs, but all I got was this plate of bread crumbs. Nobody loves Lindy."

Of course, everybody loves Lindy, but...
I was, for the first time ever, I'm sure, making egg-in-a-hole for myself for breakfast. I never go to such lengths for breakfast, except for guests and, very rarely, for my husband who has his "usual" every morning when I'm still asleep. I've only the vaguest notion of what that "usual" might be, but that's another story.
Lindy did, eventually, get the last bite of egg and bread. Then she got to lick the remaining bits of egg yolk on my plate, realizing once more that we do love her. No matter how many times we say "It's for your own good" she doesn't understand any more than a very young child would.
On the other hand, just yesterday I got her to "sit, down, stay" — she sat, she lay down, and she stayed there for all of three minutes.

Pure contentment … but I am surprised there are still a few tiny crumbs left on the plate. Lindy seems to have fallen asleep waiting for the next course of this meal. :)

I know that Lindy is very well loved. (As she deserves to be.). We still miss our Golden Breezy - gone for over 11 years but still thought about often.

She's such so sweet!! :) My "baby" boy is a cat of 13 years old and he loves to stay in the kitchen and to wait for "something good", just like a small child... and even that he has his own special food! :) but still he want something to try from my plate...
all the best and a pleasant weekend!

My cats want to taste everything. They even ate a couple blueberries yesterday.

Lovely Lindy. I know she knows how much you both love her. I love her curls.

I'm not going to worry too much about Lindy just yet - if she doesn't want to "stay" down for more than a few minutes, it sounds to me like she's still got a lot of pep left in her. Actually after the way I spent my day, I hope nobody uses that criteria to judge me;.)
