No, we didn't grow either of these.
My husband found the malformed "baby" cucumber among a neighbour's culls from his cucumber greenhouse. And he bought the big zucchini at a farm market because I said I'd like to try stuffing and baking one that size.
Never a dull moment here in "The Greenhouse Capital of the Prairie" as our town calls itself.

My zucchini didn't do well this year. After some research I discovered it needed more calcium. Now that I've given the plants several feedings they fruits are starting to set and mature. Maybe I'll find a big one when I get home from a brief trip back to the States. I like to stuff mine with a hamburger mixture with Italian sauce covered in melted cheese. I've also cut them into slices and used those instead of noodles to make a veggie lasagna. - Margy
Holy Moly! Nature is full of surprises.

Aww poor curly-cuke... and crikey, that zuke looks closer to being a marrow, it's that big! Delicious though... YAM xx
Ha, I remember zucchini like that from my gardening days, there was always too much of it......I stuffed a zucchini once and it was delicious.............
Do you have a baking pan big enough for that zucchini?
Quite the contrast! Our daughter and SIL had a dozen zuchinnis that size lying in a pile when we were out there earlier this week. Their patch got away from them. They're at that stage when they are still growing their garden for a family, but it is just the two of them at home now. We've been "helping" out all we can by taking home free produce every time we visit.... but I left the giant squash... guess she and I both should try stuffing one. How did yours turn out?
Haha i love that cucumber mimicking a snake! Or maybe it is just sleeping. Joke!!! Thanks for visiting my site.
We have a couple like these, as well! I've been grating them into everything!!! :-)
What a lovely gift from hubby! :-)
