...we are treasuring every moment we have with our beloved, blind old dog, because we don't know which moment might be the last.
She really doesn't like to have her picture taken. She can hear the click, even though the cell phone doesn't sound like a regular camera, and she usually moves her head in mid-click.
I took these two photos from the other side of the room, then cropped them. She had moved, but not much.
Here she is with the Lindy-coloured blanket, with the step-stool she uses to climb up to sit with us, and with the special Lindy-quilt made by a dear friend who is blind except for one corner of one eye, but has taken up quilting again.
So apt, because Lindy is completely blind in both eyes.
We're posting this early for Lady Fi's upcoming Our World Tuesday, and I will do the linky-thing tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Lindy's mom can't get Blogger's preview button to work, so we're posting this one on faith.

Lindy, you like the Queen on her throne!!! Love your smile. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Dear sweet Lindy sure looks cozy … her hearing is probably super good now!!
You’ve changed the look of your site. Awesome!
What a sweet old girl she is. Yes, treasure every moment. She is so happy and well-loved, one dog who lucked out with wonderful dog parents.
It's a difficult time isn't it Kay when our pets are getting on. We have a 20 year old blue burmese and although is still very healthy, she has her moments. In the time Sue and I have been together, there's been three dogs and three cats over the last 30 odd years. They are all part of the family.
So sweet - A member of the family
She is so beautiful and elegant in her old age and shouldn't be shy of the camera at all. I wonder if her hearing is super-acute now that she can't see. Maybe she just doesn't understand the click of the camera -- something that isn't in her memoroy.
Lovely Lindy, always love hearing how she is doing. When our cat Stick Tail got older we made him a stool to get up and down from our bed. It took a few days to teach him the "trick" but after that it made jumping, especially down, on his old legs easier. - Margy
Sweet Lindy - I think maybe she's smiling for the second photo!
What an old and wonderful looking dog - what a please it is to share our lives with out pets.

Poor Lindy, she's had a good, very good, life. Now in her declining years things, like humans, just plain get tough.
You may remember our Adi, beagle dog. I reminisced about putting her to sleep on my "Little Photo and Poem Place" blog this week. It was a sad day for all of us. You are welcome to take a peak.
I hope, Kay, that you are doing okay. I was peeking at an old post and saw your comment, then wondered if you still were writing. GOOD FOR YOU!! Keep it up!!!
..
Such a cute doggie ♥
