I am asking everyone to send love and understanding to the families of the fallen and of the wounded, and to their fellow officers who are working so hard to find the perpetrator.
They know his name, and what he looks like, but not much else, yet. By morning they may know much more.
Please also send love and understanding to the family of the 24-year-old who chose to dress himself up in camouflage fatigues, take two large weapons, and go out to shoot police officers.

Oh, what a sad thing to happen. Did he just shoot the policemen or was there something else or someone else involved?
Another senseless crime! How sad for all involved.
What is happening these days, with these terrible unexplained killings all over? I am so sorry for the families of all concerned. (((Hugs))) Jo

Such dreadful news Kay. Indeed it would be so easy to condemn, but it surely behooves us to try understand. Punish, yes, but also learn so that others might be helped. .....oh gracious the news on the telly right this minute as I type is giving us a report - talk about immediacy. All affected in my prayers... YAM xx
Sad and horrible, Kay. No words.
I just heard about this on the news. Senseless. Tragic and senseless.
So terrible. God be with everyone who lost loved ones and God help the perpetrator. Everyone has a story and it is unfortunate that sometimes it spills out onto innocent others. xx
He has been brought in, alive.
We've just had shootings in Seattle too. There's been an awful lot of shootings lately and it's frightening and too sad. I can't understand what would drive someone to shoot others to alleviate their own pain.
