Here I am high above the town of Perce, in the Gaspe Peninsula, Quebec. The fog rolls in and out according to its own schedule, leaving me to wonder when I can take the boat trip around Bonaventure Island to see the gannet colony and maybe some puffins and... dare I hope? ...whales!
