Our World Tuesday: Oregon with a friend

We were on the shady side of this stream in the middle of the rainforest...

...where the moss grows on all sides of the trees.
These two shots were taken on my birthday, December 1,
and the others a day or so later during my visit with my
longtime friend Maryann at her fabulous ocean-view home.

Waldport, Oregon. That's the shadow of Maryann's
Mini Cooper on the right. I took a shot of the car but
it isn't in focus. Very cute transportation, however!

Low tide at the estuary, taken from Yachats Ocean Road State Park,
with the town of Yachats, Oregon, in the background.
Many trees on the Oregon coast are distorted during their battle with offshore winds.

A little farther along Yachats Ocean Road, a seagull posed for me.

Devil's Churn at low tide. With the combination of
high tide and a storm, the spray can come right up to
the spot where I was standing.

Much of the coast of Oregon consists of sand dunes.
Wise men build their houses farther uphill.
