Lindy says goodbye

I don't know how many times I've posted photos of our beloved dog Lindy. Dozens, for sure, and many more.
I might post old photos of her again,
but there will be no new ones.

Lindy Davies-Schear left us last week
after a brief but incurable illness.
Her veterinarian came to the house
and told us what we already knew:
there was no hope of recovery from kidney failure.
We will be forever grateful
that we had the opportunity to adopt
our wonderful girl, because she has changed our lives forever.
She was sweet, pretty, fun, amusing...and kind:
Lindy didn't have a mean bone in her body.

I am sharing this post with Lady Fi's wonderful, dog-full meme

It is sad to lose someone you love so much. The real shame is that their lives are so short in comparison to ours. For a few years, you've been loved unconditionally, a marvelous miracle.

Oh dear Kay . I am so very sorry. She is in a better place now, not suffering, but that does not make it easier for you. Not yet. I loved reading Lindy stories. She had such personality and the prettiest fur coat I've ever seen. One of our sons had a Golden and I loved him too, but Lindy really was prettier (don't tell my child I said so). Thank you for sharing all of her story. My thoughts are with you.

So sorry about the loss of your dog. We love our dogs and they just don't live long enough. They add so much to our lives.

Lovely Lindy loved by all, especially you two. I was so glad to meet her during your trip back to BC. Best personality ever … humans would do well to follow her canine sense of kindness. Her presence will live on in your hearts for years to come.

Hello, Kay! Sorry, I almost missed this post. I knew about Lindy from facebook. I know how you feel because I went through the same with the loss of my Goldie Girl. I hope you have many happy memories of Lindy. She was a pretty Golden, they are the best dogs. HUGS!
