Steaming skywatch

Icelandic skies can be full of surprises,
but sometimes they don't last long.

Watch for it...it's coming...

It's coming soon...

Here it is!

And away it goes...

Wow! Amazing. Kay, I've lost track of you somehow. Happy to see your thumbnail on SWF. Happy to know you've been traveling to wonderful places. Stunning pictures.

In the Netherlands, the hot water boilers used in kitchens are named after those 'geysers'. Although they don't spurt hot water. Unless they are faulty!

Ahhhh...like Old Faithful, is it?

Wow! I'm so envious of all your travel. I'm sure you sometimes yearn for your own bed and to stay home, but oh my gosh, the things you've been lucky enough to see!

Just like Old Faithful in Yellowstone. I took a solo trip there in 1998 (just left a nasty job and took two weeks off before starting another, but good, one). I stayed in the historic lodge and could see the geyser from my window. Neat. - Margy
