"Hmm, there seems to be a little boy on my dog."
"Hey, what happened? I thought I saw a little boy on my dog, but he's not there now. I must have imagined it. Now, what was I doing here?"
I've always been a Peter Falk fan, ever since his performance in Pocketful of Miracles, the story based on characters from Damon Runyon's stories.
My siblings and I thought Falk was a lot like our dad, smart, funny, absentminded, and looking like his clothes had been put together from spare parts.
Wikipedia photo, below
Falk was born in New York in 1927, but his mother had Hungarian roots.
In addition to his ancestry, Falk was known in Hungary and, indeed, around the world for his inimitable performance in the long-running TV movie series
Columbo.

This is a statue of Peter Falk? Oh my! In Budapest, no less? Wow! This is so cool.
That's a very nice street statue ! I just scrolled through all your Budapest photos, it looks like a beautiful town. It's on my travel list !
Peter Falk was one of my favorites too. I loved him in Colombo. That statue is so cool.
Hari Om
Columbo was 'must see' television in the Mac's household during the 70's. Do you know, though, I cannot ever recall his having a basset hound? Great sculpture though. The first picture is fab. YAM xx
So cute! And made to be interacted wish.
That is the last place I would have excpected a statue of him! Then again, I have seen a statue of Charlie Chaplin in Waterville, Ireland and there is a statue of Marilyn Monroe in Haugesund, Norway!
I looked through all your travel photos. How wonderful!! Such amazing things to see! I am jealous! :)
What an amazing statue! I love traveling with you!
