Gigantic kiss reflected for all to see


Hippos in zoos are at a disadvantage. Their love-lives are there for everyone to see. Here their kiss is reflected in the rippling water of their artificial pool. People might think they look cute and funny, but the hippopotamus is actually one of the most aggressive creatures in the world and is often regarded as one of the most dangerous animals in Africa (Wikipedia). Therefore, we have to be careful when singing the old song "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7xjjlUbpJ4

    The thing is though, I would only want a nice and cuddly hippopopotamus for Christmas. None of that dangerous stuff for me thank you very much!

    I can't honestly say I have ever thought of hippos as cute. I never thought of them kissing before either.! Great picture, though.
