We were on the shady side of this stream in the middle of the rainforest...
Waldport, Oregon. That's the shadow of Maryann's Mini Cooper on the right. I took a shot of the car but it isn't in focus. Very cute transportation, however!
A little farther along Yachats Ocean Road, a seagull posed for me.
Devil's Churn at low tide. With the combination of high tide and a storm, the spray can come right up to the spot where I was standing.
Much of the coast of Oregon consists of sand dunes. Wise men build their houses farther uphill.

Lovely captures for the day! I do love Oregon, I lived there for 15 years before moving to Seattle! Hope you have a wonderful week, Kay!

So many spectacular scenes, Kay! Love the mossy buildup in the forest and the twisted limbs on the embattled trees. Your shot of Devil's Churn certainly shows you have a good eye for perspective. :)
ReplyDeleteIn 1976, I went up and down the Oregon coast a few times - spectacularly beautiful. I hope to travel along Highway One one more time this lifetime and stop at every wonderful vista.
ReplyDeleteLooks like your trip south went very well. I love the Oregon coast. It's so rugged and picturesque. - Margy
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is a spectacular coastline! Lovely shots.
ReplyDeleteYou captured the area beautifully Kay. That area and the southern end are my favorite parts of the Oregon coast. We lived in the Newport area for awhile and loved it.
ReplyDeleteYour shot of Yachats, I have stood in that exact same place. It is a gorgeous view.
A beautiful wild coastline. The trees do tell of the strong winds.
ReplyDeleteHello.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures you show.
Wishing you a good Tuesday.

These are such gorgeous photos, Kay. Art just passed by and said, "Wow! Great shots! We've never been to Oregon." Hmmm... maybe we should?
ReplyDeletePerfect capture of one of our favoritee part of the Coast.
