That isn't land on the horizon, those are clouds. Once you're past the points of land jutting out from the mainland, you won't see land again until you see Japan.

ReplyDeleteLovely shots!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful skies Kay, it is unusual to see so much of the sky in Oregon. You are really making me miss the coast, we need to plan a trip over that way.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had beautiful weather during your visit. The skies are pretty. Lovely photos, happy skywatching!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful skies and there's no more beautiful coast than Oregon! Terrific captures! Have a great weekend, Kay!

So beautiful. Much like my beloved Tofino.
ReplyDeleteKay, that third shot is my favourite, with the mountains holding the sea in their embrace!!
ReplyDeleteHas anyone tried to paddle to Japan?
ReplyDeleteI do love your skies. I keep forgetting about Skywatch Fridays.
ReplyDeleteCheers from Cottage Country!

The shoreline is so ruggedly beautiful - so different from the gentle shore edging the Gulf of Mexico. Still, I would love to see it one day. (Until then, I'll have to content myself with your lovely photos :)
ReplyDeleteWhen we used to fly up and down the coast between LA and BC, we sometimes stopped at Lakeside State Airport. It is just a grass strip, but you could camp there and if you wanted, walk to the dunes. - Margy
ReplyDeletePreciosas fotos de su país, saludosssss
ReplyDeleteWhat -- it rains in Oregon -- awww, really ;>))))) Your coast pictures are outstanding and again, thanks! I'm glad I have you on my Google Reader so that I can browse through the posts I missed while catching up.
