SkyWatch Friday: October moon

Everyone else posted their wonderful moon shots earlier this month. A day late and a dollar short, but in case you missed all the others, here it is...October moon as seen by my intrepid photographer and husband, Richard Schear.

  1. From appearing like a ghostly pale smudge to eerily peeking behind trees, the October moon in the photos reflects perfectly the moods of this Halloween season!

  3. Kay, you are supposed to say that you planned it this way, so that his wonderful captures of the moon would not have to compete with all the others, last week...

  11. I especially love the spooky photo with the moon peaking out behind the leaves!

I've had the same problem, but solved it by swapping out paintings at different seasons and making groupings with smaller paintings.

Thanks so much for visiting and appreciating my little egret!

    Have a wonderful day!

  13. The moon will continue to fascinate us humans until it shines no longer...

    STARFALL

In the sky the stars shine bright
Not by day, but through the night.
Should the stars begin to fall,
There would be no sky at all!

  18. Photography is brilliant!! I like the happy looking moon by daylight and as it becomes darker the moon begins to appear eerie, especially when hidden behind the trees!!

  24. Never too late to show moon shots... I smile when I think of the two of you as a blogging team, the photographer and the writer. My honey is technically better than me in photography so I often ask his opinion and he graciously obliges. (He thinks I'm too obsessed with blogging, but never wags a finger.) The 2nd and 3rd moon images, as others have mentioned, fit the Halloween mood. I almost think I see a ghost in the tree of last one, Kay!
