What a fascinating place this is.
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I find the wooden domes rather amusing, but then there's no accounting for national quirks. If we were all the same, how boring the world would be.
i love the way you took us from dawn to day, with this beautiful architecture as the centerpiece.
ReplyDeleteRussia has so many awesome churches. I would love to take a trip like yours one day, to see some of them. I love all the domes. Great shots!

ReplyDeleteSKY LOVE
Sky above, sky aglow,
Sky of rain and sky of snow;
Sky of hail, sky of sleet,
Sky cavorting o’er the street;
Sky of black, sky of blue,
In all seasons I love you!

The onion shaped domes are such wonderful creations. Terrific captures.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how they maintained the wooden domes, they hold in time.
