F is For Football. Did I say that?

I never imagined I'd think about football for any reason other than to say "turn that noise down" to my husband when he's watching it on TV.
However, when we were away on our river cruise in Russia this month, our friends Larry and Gayle took our dog Lindy to Regina, Saskatchewan, where they were attending a football game.
To celebrate the fact that they're from Saskatchewan, they got our dog all duded up in Saskatchewan Roughrider colors for the occasion.
Fortunately, they got a photo, and Lindy doesn't look at all unhappy about it, either. She enjoys her visits with Gayle and Larry. Thanks, you two!

  4. That is SO cute! Here, the dog (if I had one) would be wearing a Canucks jersey! But that's for another day,

  5. @ Leslie — yes, if I had my way, Lindy would be wearing a Canucks jersey, but Dick is a Flames fan, so we'd probably compromise on a Toronto Blue Jays shirt.

  6. I forgot to mention that the cinnamon bun part came from my memories of UBC and the Bus Stop Cafe where we'd go and get a cinnamon bun and coffee between classes - great memories of friendships that have mostly disappeared now. Still and all...

  7. Lindy is a great fan. Football season is upon us. Fortunately Wayne like college games more than the pros or it would be on all the time. In November we are going to the USC vs. Oregon game. That's always fun to be there. As for TV watching, I with you on the "turn it down." - Margy

  9. It must be comforting to see the Lindy is having fun while you're out gallivanting around the globe. Lindy in colours sure made me smile. And err... I'm not a football fan either. Can't wait to see some of your Russia photos, Kay!

  14. Football is a good word. Will that be American football or soccer? When we use the word it's always soccer, which is very popular here. Personally I don't care for football. So you were in Russia! You travel all over the world and that's very interesting. Your dog must be delighted to see you again.

  21. The colour suits Lindy so well. There'll be no holding her now - she'll be expecting to go to all the games;-)
(Personally I can't stand football - or is it soccer in Canada - the one with the spherical ball. I like rugby though!)
