A is for Amsterdam and Antwerp

"Canal bikes" for rent in Amsterdam, March, 2011.
I think they look a little like attached pairs of wooden shoes.

Amsterdam, The Netherlands, March, 2011.

Antwerp, March, 2011.

Antwerp, Belgium, which we visited during our Tulips and Windmills cruise with Viking River Cruises in March of this year. We enjoyed The Netherlands and Belgium very much.
Posted for Mrs. Nesbitt's ABC Wednesday.
Many thanks to Mrs. Nesbitt and her team of talented photo-bloggers for this wonderful meme, which is now starting Round 9.

  8. Hah! I was considering Amsterdam too.... in fact I even gave a few moments thought to going through the entire ABC of place I'd been to... but then I forced a reality check on myself and realized the next months could turn insane on me, and it would be insane OF me to commit to such a project. Well, glad I got to visit Amsterdam through your and Dick's lenses.

  12. I probably will be more often now in Amsterdam. My son finally found a house and bought it ! It sits in the middle of the sea, at least it looks like on an artificial extension of Amsterdam. Very difficult to describe. I only saw pictures and didn't understand anything, lol !

  23. If the first picture looks like wooden shoes, the last one looks like a long bar of dark chocolate. What a beautiful place to spend time in! That lamppost caught my attention amid everything. Thanks for sharing!
