  1. Kay, I have enjoyed your travels to Avignon with its reflections, critters and now shadows. The last time I was there several years ago the weather was quite warm and we were looking for some of your shadows for relief! Wonderful photos of a lovely ville!

  4. Arches, arches everywhere!

    I ALMOST LOST MY SHADOW

    I almost lost my shadow,
    I left it in the park;
    I heard my mommy calling,
    For it was getting dark;

    She has no use for shadows,
    She thinks they are quite grim,
    And when she saw my shadow,
    She thought it was a “him.”

    I had to educate her
    And tell her it was “she’
    And now my faithful shadow
    Is welcome as can be!

  7. It is a beautiful city, Kay. I was last there in 2008 in the northern autumn. I could spend a week in the city without touring the countryside. I read that you are off to Russia next. He is an adventurous soul, that Richard of yours.

  8. The arches and portals are from a far different era, The bridge is elegant with its gentle arcs, the stone walls full of character that is unique and not generic North American architecture as we see all the time. The shadows are as unique as this city's style...
