I stuck a cartoon in my diary the other day about a sloth. This particular one is hanging from a tree branch and is bored with his view. He moves his hands and feet about an inch and all of a sudden he loves the view since it's completely new! I love that one and this post and those gorgeous animals reminded me of that!
ReplyDeleteGreat minds think alike again, Mara. Sounds like my kind of cartoon. Wonderful you put it in your diary just before I posted sloth pictures. The one I got to know best was Buttercup, because I visited with her when Dick and our group were out swinging through the jungle on ropes and things like that, but one of the baby two-toed sloths tried to climb out of its basket and onto me. Unfortunately, we can't touch them because too many tourists have left sunscreen and insect repellent on them. So sad. I wasn't wearing anything like that, and I'd have made such a good babysitter.

ReplyDelete@ JM -- I checked out your sloth shot and it is fantastic. It was easy for me to get photos of Buttercup in her hanging chair because I was hanging out with her a lot, but I know how fortunate you were to see and photograph that young sloth you saw in Tortuguero. Gorgeous!

sloth is my middle name, the husband is overseas on work assignment, Today is labour weekend, I am having is very slothful weekend with my 14 year old son.

ReplyDelete@ Margy -- yes, there are quite a few places we haven't been, but we're working on it! First question is always, can I get there? Second question is then, will I be in too much pain to do anything once I get there? LOL
