Watery Wednesday: reflecting pond or ...

This robin turns away to reflect on the existence of a pond where he's never seen one before. He must be new to our neighborhood, because our corner often floods like this after a heavy rain. We don't always get beautiful reflections in the large puddle, however, because cars and bicycles splash through it.

  3. Awesome reflection! It's so clear and I love the blue sky and clouds.

    Regarding your comment. Actually SF and LA would both stay in California because neither one were mentioned as counties that would split. It's fun to talk about but the chances of it happening are next to none. :)

  4. That is a huge puddle Kay! Great reflection. You must have caught the light and the angle just right to get such clarity.

  6. Wow! If you didn't explain, I would have thought that it is a stream. Surprised to see such clear reflections in a 'puddle'. Flood can be beautiful. :)

  10. If I didn't look closely enough I would have missed the robin...I was busy looking at the reflections of the puffy 'cotton ball' clouds.

  15. I kinda wish the robin had perched a little closer to the water so I could see its reflection too!

    WATER ON WEDNESDAY

    Water on Wednesday
    And other days too,
    Water for me, friend,
    And water for you;

    Water as ocean
    And water as sea,
    Water for you, friend,
    And water for me;

    Every day water
    In puddle or ice
    Or snowflakes or mist—
    Oh, water is nice!

  16. That is a great reflection Kay. The puddle is so still, looks like there was a long break in the traffic. Mr. Robin does look a little confused.

  17. I like puddle shots! Maybe that puddle is too deep for the robin!
